Welcome to WoodWorks

Greetings for another Tuesday mass timber update. This week we begin with photos and a recap of our WoodWorks South Seminar and Site Visit which happened in Christchurch last week. Next we have an informative article about how important managing moisture on a building site is for maintaining the hardness of screws. From the northern hemisphere, Harvard University is building a ‘treehouse’ conference centre made almost entirely from wood. Check out an eye-catching unsupported CLT spiral staircase from the KF Aerospace Centre in Canada. Finally, view the GETS tender for new, transportable, modular inpatient units for Health New Zealand.

The next WoodWorks event is our annual conference being held in Rotorua on 4-5 November. If you have an innovative local project to share, please get in touch, as we have space for a couple more speakers.
