Check out progress on the 1ACA project in the heart of Canberra, as it gains momentum with timber elements rising into place. This seven‑storey mass timber build is crafted entirely from Australian sourced timber.

If you know this acronym – DFD*,  then this story is for you.  A new connector to rule them all (well not quite). This breakthrough connector represents a major advancement in hybrid and timber structures, prefabrication, and DFD.

Mid-rise buildings using timber frames are spreading beyond Japan’s major cities into regional areas. More and more shops and office buildings are being constructed using wood.
