A successful appeal against a decision labelled as “mad” by Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown has cleared the way for a developer to build an 11-storey timber building on K Road.
The James Kirkpatrick Group (JKG) applied to Auckland Council to build the $100 million building in 2023. Its resource consent application was declined in its entirety in February this year by independent commissioners who had concerns over the size and scale of the development.
