‘Future Growth’: New Fire Station for Hawke’s Bay Airport

TW Construction: We are excited to announce the commencement of a major project at Hawke’s Bay Airport Ltd – the construction of a new fire station. This 550m² facility represents the airport’s largest capital project since the terminal expansion and is designed to support the emergency response team for the next 50 years.

Our TW Civil and Infrastructure team has begun laying the detailed foundations this week. Following this, we will place the reinforcing steel and concrete foundations. TW Plumbing will then manage all the underfloor drainage, and our team will return to set up hold-down bolts for the timber structure walls. This phased approach ensures smooth progress over the coming months.

We are also proud to incorporate sustainable design principles, including optimised orientation for solar photovoltaics, engineered timber framing, grey water capture, and solar power integration.

Stay tuned over the next 12 months for more updates as we progress through this exciting project. For more details, check out the full article on……find source
