The Timber Design Society invite you to watch the 10th webinar of the 2023 series with Ben Moerman presenting on High-Capacity CLT Shear Walls.
Ben is a structural engineer at StructureCraft, who will speak about his research into the lateral capacity of CLT shear walls.
“Conventional CLT shear walls are often governed by the strength and stiffness of its connections, which do not significantly utilize the in-plane strength of the CLT. Therefore, CLT shear walls are not yet being used optimally in the construction of midrise mass timber buildings due to a lack of research into the application of high-capacity connections and alternative wall configurations.”
