WoodWorks Issue – 07 Apr 2026

Welcome

Greetings from the WoodWorks team. Two celebrations this week – here’s to building a greener, smarter future! First up – Beca’s work on the University of Auckland’s B201 building, which has been recognised at the (CIBSE) Awards in London, winning 2 awards plus a 6 Green Star rating. Then, 211 High Street project at the other end of the country, has also officially been awarded a 6 Green Star – Design and As‑Built NZ v1.1 Certified Design rating. Congratulations to all involved.

Next up we have one for the (very spatially clever) engineers and timber machinists, at the Dinosaur Museum in Alberta. And from BC, one for the architects –  a great example of using materials to the best effect, and concrete for the upright columns and wood for the curves!
