Tauranga City Council team will occupy the largest timber office building in New Zealand

It’s time to celebrate our collective progress as an industry in growing mass timber in commercial building!  Soon the largest timber office building in New Zealand will be officially opened (watch this space for details). The Tauranga City Council team will occupy one of the nicest located and fitted out, and most carbon friendly building you could possibly think of.  Unless of course you started your career by studying at University in Wellington and spent a lot of time in The Living Pā building as well, of course.  Both of these public buildings are amazing and visually stunning, not to mention being renewable and being the ultimate in biophilic design. Over the next few weeks we will take a closer look at some of the features inside the building.

Check out the video showcasing both the Tauranga City Council building at 90 Devonport Road and Scion’s timber diagrid designed building.
