The building is characterised by the consistent use of brushed silver fir, complemented by elegant oak elements and travertine natural stone. The structural substance is based on a sustainable solid wood load-bearing structure. Through the targeted use of binderholz CLT BBS, glulam beams, and 3-layer solid wood panels, COâ‚‚ is sequestered in the villa long-term. Wood acts here as a natural carbon sink, as every cubic meter of wood used removes approximately one ton of COâ‚‚ from the atmosphere. Furthermore, the solid wood elements act as heat and moisture storage, creating a cozy and balanced indoor climate in every season.
